AECOM "Surfer" :60 details the daily early-morning journey on the LA Metro, connecting a Central LA surfer to his passion at Venice Beach

John Singleton has been a ‘rising star’ all of his life it seems. Shortly after graduating from USC, he first broke onto the Hollywood scene with a film that he wrote and directed called Boyz N The Hood, garnering no less than an Oscar nomination for Directing and making history by being the youngest director to be nominated for the golden statue. His star kept rising with subsequent films such as 2Fast 2Furious, Shaft, Higher Learning, and Four Brothers, to name a few. Never one to rest on his laurels, John has in recent years punched more notches into his creative belt with t.v. series episodes in such classics as American Crime Story: The OJ Simpson Story, Empire, and Billions. His two latest projects advanced his rising star in the t.v. arena. Rebel (which he wrote and Executive Produced) and Snowfall (another one he penned and EP’d). And, now, having joined @LArge Productions for commercial representation, John’s star is inevitably on the rise in the advertising world. Having just shot his first commercial with @LArge, we have no doubt that John’s magic will find it’s way to a golden pencil. Stay tuned!
